'Fish Study' for use on textile

"Images used in my art practice reflect my interest in the environment, block printing and staining and dyeing natural fabrics with water based inks. Involvement with community art projects has led me to explore sculptural applications of my images. Designs (Rainbow Serpent for the Wynnum Project Brisbane) were cast in bronze and aluminium to enhance the appearance of the streets, as well as to inform the public of the original inhabitants as well as early European settlement. Combining workshops in remote Aboriginal communities with extensive car travel to central Queensland and remote parts of Northern Territory and Western Australia have been exciting reasons for my husband and I to pack the Nissan and set off on another venture into the more remote parts of the country."
